The ShellGenius Certificate of Completion: What It Takes to Earn It

A Certificate That Actually Means Something

Most "completion certificates" online mean you clicked through some videos. The ShellGenius Certificate of Completion means something more specific: you finished every published lab and every Learn lesson across all 9 tracks - Linux, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, AI Engineering, and Python.

That's 228 hands-on labs and 552 Learn sections. No shortcuts, no partial credit for "mostly done."

What Counts

The certificate is awarded automatically the moment two conditions are both true for your account:

There's no application, no review, no waiting period. Finish the last remaining item and the certificate appears on your profile immediately.

---

Verifying a Certificate

Every certificate gets a permanent, unguessable verification link at shellgenius.com/certificate/<id>. Anyone - a recruiter, a hiring manager, a curious friend - can open that link and see the name on the certificate and the date it was issued, no login required. That's the whole point of a certificate: it needs to be checkable by someone who wasn't there when you earned it.

The page is print-friendly too, so you can save it as a PDF if you want a copy alongside the shareable link.

Why We Didn't Make It Easier

We could have issued a certificate per track, or after some smaller percentage of labs. We didn't, on purpose. A certificate that's easy to get stops being useful as a signal - to you or to anyone looking at your profile. Finishing everything, across every track, is genuinely hard, and that's exactly why it's worth having your name on.

If you're working toward it, your progress is visible any time on your profile page - both labs completed and Learn sections completed, tracked separately so you always know what's left.

Start with any track's Learn path or jump straight into Labs - either way, everything you complete counts toward the same certificate.
